A Butterfly Landed on a Fawn, and the Video Looks Like Something Out of a Fairy Tale
It doesn't get sweeter than unlikely animal friends, especially when they're both pint-sized. Finding a baby deer resting in a patch of grass is already one of the cutest sights, but one Minnesota mom got the surprise of a lifetime when she discovered a butterfly and fawn sunbathing together while waiting for the mama deer to return.
Although spotting a baby deer without its mom can be startling, fawns are typically just hiding in a safe spot. This fawn, however, didn't have to wait alone once its tiny butterfly friend decided it looked like a safe place to land. @Minnesota_mom3's priceless June 4 video brought viewers closer to the precious animals than most had ever been, and it looked like a scene straight out of a fairy tale.

This is the most beautiful moment to witness! The tiny fawn seemed comfortable and confident with both of its new friends, even when this well-meaning mom got close enough for her viewers to make out the baby's eye color. I never knew fawns had blue (or maybe gray) eyes!
Commenters like @gothwaffle captured the enchanting, fairy-tale essence of this friendship, describing it as "straight out of a Disney movie." It quite literally is! This sweet moment is almost an exact reenactment of an adorable scene from Bambi, when the fawn bonds with a butterfly who briefly lands on his back.
Everyone was in agreement that "The butterfly was his guardian while mama was gone," just like @sassshayes said. Both friends seemed perfectly comfortable with their arrangement, and the butterfly was just as comfy and confident as the deer. Either this butterfly has been around for a while, or they were friends in another life.
