Parker "went to the home of Reagan Hancock, whom (Parker) knew was pregnant, and arrived at around 7:30 a.m.," the court documents say.
"What followed was characterized by the State as a 'slaughtered woman in her home [and] a missing baby,'-a 'fetal abduction.' The crime scene technician, Marc Sillivan, testified that Reagan was attacked in several places around the house, with multiple strikes in each location, and she continued standing and walking while bleeding. The assault continued while Reagan was on the floor," added the documents.
Reagan's injuries were many. "The medical examiner, Dr. Melinda Flores, testified that Reagan had 113 sharp force injuries-fifteen stab wounds and ninety-eight incised wounds. Two wounds perforated Reagan's jugular vein. Several went all the way to the bone."
The appeals decision adds, "Reagan also suffered thirty-nine blunt-force injuries, primarily to her face and head, as well as a broken nose and five skull fractures."
A Doctor Testified that Reagan Hancock May Have Been Hit in the Head 'With a Hammer'
A hammer may have been used in the attack.
"Dr. Flores testified that the injuries to Reagan's head indicated that she may have been hit in the head by a hammer," the court document continues.
"Dr. Flores also testified that there was evidence of possible strangulation. Reagan lost so much blood in the attack that some of her wounds did not even bleed due to low blood pressure."
The documents added, "After murdering Reagan, Appellant performed a crude C-section to remove Reagan's unborn child, Braxlynn. Appellant cut a 'large incised wound going across [Reagan's] lower abdomen with her uterus coming through it.' The uterus was also opened. Appellant also removed the placenta and umbilical cord."
How Was Taylor Parker Caught?
Parker was caught when a trooper noticed her driving erratically after she left Reagan's house. The trooper observed an 'umbilical cord going down into [Appellant's] pants,' and a baby that was not breathing and appeared 'very limp, kind of white in color,'" the court documents continued.
"Two ambulances transported Appellant and Braxlynn to McCurtain Memorial Hospital. Appellant was arrested at the hospital, and Braxlynn was later pronounced dead."
The court documents indicate that Parker was no longer able to have children, so she had concocted an elaborate scheme to convince her boyfriend, Wade Griffin, that she was pregnant, even going so far as to hold a gender reveal party. When the fictitious due date arrived and questions were raised, she decided to murder Reagan to pass her baby off as her own, according to the court documents and the Netflix show.
