One of the Most Iconic Horror Villains of All Time Is Officially Joining 'Dead by Daylight'

2026 is one of the biggest years for anniversaries in the video game industry, from major franchises like Diablo to specific monumental titles like Final Fantasy 10. Yet another popular game is celebrating 10 years this year, Dead by Daylight, and developer Behaviour Interactive has massive plans for the anniversary, including adding one of the most requested killers to the game.

Announced during the Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary live stream, it has been confirmed that Art the Clown from the Terrifier series will be joining the game as a new killer. Art the Clown will be released as part of the 10th anniversary plans in November.

It is currently unknown if the chapter will just include Art the Clown or if there will be survivors included as well, like lead protagonist Sienna.

The reveal at the event included the "arrival" of Art the Clown in darkness, honking his hand horn before emerging on stage to many fans' applause.

Besides the Terrifier chapter, this year will also see the addition of special cosmetics from Silent Hill f, a surprising collaboration in October with Scooby-Doo, and more The Walking Dead legendary skins.

There are also plans to add new maps, new game modes, and a new dynamic weather system to the game. A new graphics update is also being planned, similar to one that Final Fantasy 14 got back in 2024.

Iconic metal band Iron Maiden will also be crossing over with Dead by Daylight in a celebration of its 50th anniversary, with another legendary Eddie skin. The skin will be for The Huntress killer.

It was also confirmed that there will not be a Dead by Daylight 2, and the developers will continue to create new content for the original game, beyond just year 10.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
