Cockatoo 'Doomscrolling' With Mom Is Just Like Us

Cockatoos are curious, bright, and fun little companions to have hanging around. Though these special birds need a lot of one-on-one attention and a high level of mental and physical stimulation and enrichment each day, that doesn't mean it has to always be some big activity.

Some prefer a much quieter break, like Sir Bentley, the Cockatoo. This inquisitive boy stays pretty busy, but once in a while, it's fun to just chill out and doomscroll with Mom (and it's too relatable).

Sir Bentley doomscrolling with Mom is what any smart pet would do if they had the ability. It just so happens that this Cockatoo is one smart cookie! Whatever kind of day he was having before is only made better by watching clips of his bird buddy, Benny!

Keeping an eye on other Cockatoos is all in a day's work for this funny boy. When he's not watching all the pet videos, you'll probably find him practicing for his circus audition. In case you don't know what that entails, no worries-he's got you covered.

Like every other Cockatoo on the planet, Sir Bentley has energy to spare. Getting into some impressive gymnastics on a rope toy is another way to release some pent-up energy (and it looks like he's having a blast)!

Do Cockatoos Recognize Familiar Faces Over the Phone?

Many experts agree that yes, Cockatoos can recognize people and fur friends over the phone. It's especially true if the faces on the other end are of their favorite humans or flock members whom they adore most.

As a highly intelligent species with advanced cognitive abilities that have been compared to human toddlers, they have no problem connecting a face and voice through the airwaves. This is yet another reason these animals are so cool.

Sir Bentley seems to enjoy watching videos of his feathered pals, and honestly, that's exactly what I do when I need a minute to relax, too. Doomscrolling with birds for the win!
