There's a stereotype out there that cats don't get along with dogs, and it's still quite rare to see a cat outside on a leash walk, but this cute cat is here to show us he's not like other cats at all.

Dos is an adorable tabby cat (named because he has two ears while his brother, Uno, has just one) whose mom posts super-cute videos of him on their cat-family YouTube channel.

In this clip, we learn about Dos' love of walks, but it's not just exercise he's after. It turns out Dos has made friends with a dog in the neighborhood, and if he doesn't get plenty of play time with his bestie, you're going to hear about it.

"My cat demands walks so he can visit his dog friend," Dos' mom writes in the video caption, and it's clearly true as we hear Dos' loud meows that keep ringing through the air.

He's so happy and vocal as mom puts his leash on, and he keeps meowing until the moment he sits nose to nose with his canine pal.

They sniff each other's faces and relax in each other's company. The dog doesn't even have a leash on! They just stroll right up to each other, like they surely do every day.

"He used to be so shy," wrote one commenter. "I'm so proud of him!"

"My sister in law's cat has the same meow as Dos," noticed another viewer.

"I think the screaming meows are a tabby thing, at least in my experience," said another.

Do Tabby Cats Meow More Than Other Cats?

While some of the commenters have heard similar meows from their own tabbies, there's no proof that tabby cats meow any more or less than other types of cats-but anecdotally, they do have a reputation.

Tabby is not a specific breed of cat, but rather a term for the color and style of their fur. It turns out this coat pattern is more likely to be expressed in Maine voons, Siamese and other vocal breeds, so this may have something to do with the idea that Tabbys are likely to meow a lot.

Cats of all breeds learn by experience, and if you react when your cat meows, they soon figure out how to get what they want with a bit of vocalization. In this instance, Dos' mom knows a bunch of meowing at a certain time of day means "It's time to go outside and see my friend!"

Because Dos' mom keeps responding to meows by getting the leash, this behavior persists. It's like training, except your cat is training you!
