Puppy energy is so precious. These little fluff balls are full of excitement and life, and it's important you give them the space to get those zoomies out; otherwise, they'll be climbing up the walls of your house for hours.

This video from Grim the Ozzy's mom on YouTube shows one lucky puppy's very first day at the local dog park, and this pup is so cheerful, we're sure it'll brighten your day.

Grim the Ozzy is no pup, but his mom caught this quick video and shared it for all to see. Grim and his friends welcomed the rambunctious puppy with open paws, and the pup is so very glad to meet them all.

The bigger dogs were all very gentle with the puppy, letting the little guy play with their toys and get good sniffs of their fur. The pet parents are all laughing and cooing over the cute new friend, and it's just an incredibly wholesome and sweet scene all around.

"Dogs can smell how old another dog is and usually behave gentler around puppies and seniors," one commenter notes.

"The delight in the laughter behind the camera is encouraging that this pup is in the right place," another adds.

"The big wide world of canine friendship welcomes him with a wag," says one more.

Can Dogs Tell the Age of Other Dogs?

That commenter was right. These big adult dogs can tell this puppy is inexperienced from the way it carries itself, the way it squeaks and squeals, and even by their sense of smell.

It might seem obvious that a puppy is a puppy because of their size, energy and stature, and all those things do tip off the other dogs. Puppies also smell differently, thanks to their different hormones, and their breath is usually a real give-away for the other dogs in the park.

Fully grown dogs are usually a lot gentler and show more patience when dealing with puppies, and they're also more respectful of senior dogs inherently, just as the commenter said.

These dogs can sense the excitement and newness of this experience when the puppy comes running in, and they're very thoughtful, letting the pup get to know them, playing gently and giving the pup turns with their toys.

It's so cute to know these dogs aren't just well-trained (although they clearly are), but that this is actually a part of dog instincts!
