Specialty of the House: Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
I am just back from a trip to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. I had the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The toppings were wonderful (whipped cream, caramel and drizzled chocolate) but it was the deep, rich chocolate drink that was like no other I’ve ever had.
I would be so grateful if you could get the recipe.

Guests at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville often want to find a cozy seat in a rocking chair near one of the inn’s 36-foot-tall fireplaces.
What better way to enjoy that scene than with a drink? One of the most popular beverages served at the Great Hall Bar is the hot chocolate.
Tracey Johnston-Crum, the inn’s director of public relations and community outreach, explained that the inn has always had a signature hot chocolate, which has evolved over time to reflect changing tastes. The salted caramel hot chocolate is a recent rendition of this staple and has been so popular that it will remain on the menu this winter.
