Former Zely & Ritz chef cooking for upcoming wine dinner
If you miss the food at Raleigh’s now closed Zely & Ritz restaurant, chef Sarig Agasi is cooking at an April 13 wine dinner in Glenwood South.
The four-course dinner with wine pairings cost $85 per person. It is being held at Clockwork, a restaurant and bar at 519 W. North St. The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.
Here is the menu:
▪ Roasted beets and goat cheese with onions, beet greens and sumac salad; paired with a 2012 Vision Cellars white blend.
▪ Fried sardines over tabbouleh with fresh lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and a balsamic glaze; paired with a 2012 Row Five Pinot Noir Mendocino.
▪ Braised brisket with roasted root vegetables and dried fig sauce; paired with a 2013 Saldo Zinfandel.
▪ Chocolate mousse with red cherries and red wine reduction; paired with a 2010 Elyse Cabernet-style Port Napa Valley.
