Jeni’s set to debut first Raleigh ice cream shop. Info on opening date & free scoops

One of the country’s most popular ice cream brands is ready to open its first Raleigh scoop shop.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will open its Raleigh location in the Village District on Monday, June 5. The company announced the grand opening date in a release, which contained even sweeter news.

On June 5 from 7 to 11 p.m., the shop will dole out free ice cream to guests. For major Jeni’s fans who line up early, the first few customers in the door will receive swag bags.

Founded in Columbus, Ohio, Jeni’s has become a national ice cream phenomenon, with shops across the country and pints for sale in major grocery stores.

Best Jeni’s ice cream flavors

Some of the classic Jeni’s flavors include Texas Sheet Cake, Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake.

The brand is also famous for its celebrity and pop culture collaborations, including a flavor with Dolly Parton and a recent buttery version with the hit show Ted Lasso called “Biscuits with the Boss.”

Jeni’s Splendid NC locations

The Village District location of Jeni’s will be the brand’s fifth in North Carolina, following earlier openings in Charlotte and one in Durham in 2022.
