The Raleigh sandwich scene just added a Durham favorite.

Eastcut Sandwich Bar opened this week in the new Raleigh Iron Works development. The popular sandwich shop becomes the first restaurant to open in the new Atanltic Avenue development, which will also include the new Scott Crawford restaurant Brodeto, Andia’s Ice Cream and a new taproom for Ponysaurus Brewing in Durham.

Eastcut Sandwich menu

The new Eastcut serves the same menu that’s built a loyal following among Durham sandwich lovers. That means familiar cold cuts like sliced turkey, a spiced mayo version of an Italian, crispy chicken cutlets, cheesesteaks, sauce-tossed chicken sandwiches and salads.

You can expect the same small flourishes as well, like homemade sauces and salad dressings, housemade mozzarella and crispy sweet potato tots.

The dining room of the Raleigh Eastcut is a bit larger than the Durham one and features a wide wrap-around patio.

How to go

Location: 1101 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Suite 126, Raleigh. eastcutsandwich.com

Hours: The sandwich shop is open six days a week, serving lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday and lunch only on Sundays. Both Eastcut locations are closed on Mondays.
