What is the absolute best mayo? Is it Duke’s, Hellmann’s or another brand? You tell us.
If you’re posting up at a potluck in the South there’s a presumption that your deviled eggs or pimento cheese are made with a certain mayonnaise brand.
But the truth is mayo might be the most divisive condiment out there. Mayo lines are drawn like an August tomato sandwich cut in half.
The News & Observer wants to know once and for all what brand of mayo is the favorite pick in the Triangle. Our poll includes the mainstream mayo brands, plus Miracle Whip — which is controversially not even mayonnaise — and an option for the mayo haters out there.
The options are Duke’s, Heinz, Hellmann’s, Kewpie, Kraft, Miracle Whip and “Launch all mayonnaise into the sun.” You can only vote for one mayo (but you can vote as many times as you want).
So think about your dream tomato sandwich or BLT. What are you smearing on the bread?
