Doughnut miss out on this sweet deal.

In honor of its 87th anniversary, Krispy Kreme has a special deal. For today — July 12 — only, the price of a dozen glazed doughnuts is 87 cents.

But, there are stipulations. Here’s how to take advantage of the deal:

  • You have to buy any regular-priced dozen or 16-count minis.
  • If you’re shopping in store or in a drive-thru, you are limited to two boxes of the 87-cent dozens.
  • If you are shopping online for pickup or delivery, you are limited to one box of an 87-cent dozen. Use promo code BDAY.

Krispy Kreme stores throughout the Triangle are participating in the anniversary special:

  • Raleigh: 549 N. Person St.
  • Knightdale: 6727 Knightdale Blvd.
  • Wake Forest: 11721 Retail Drive
  • Fuquay-Varina: 728 N. Judd Fwy
  • Durham: 3536 Hillsborough Road

“Treating our fans on our birthday is a long-time tradition,” Dave Skena, the global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a news release.

The doughnut company, which is headquartered in Charlotte, was founded in Winston-Salem in 1937 by Vernon Rudolph.
