Vivian Howard brings Thanksgiving wisdom to the ‘Today’ show. Here’s when
One of North Carolina’s most popular chefs will share her Thanksgiving insights with America.
Vivian Howard has a trio of Thanksgiving-themed media stops airing this week, starting with a Tuesday morning appearance on NBC’s “Today” show. Look for Howard in the 8 o’clock hour Nov. 25, chopping it up with the “Today” show gang.
“The stakes are high this week, and the lovely folks at the Today show have called in this southern gal to spread some last-minute wisdom,” Howard posted on her social media accounts teasing the appearance. She was last on the today show over the summer, doing a cooking demo of the shrimp burger on the menu at Howard’s new Outer Banks restaurant Theodosia at the Sanderling Resort.
Howard has spent more than a decade in the spotlight, since the success of her restaurant Chef & The Farmer in Kinston and her PBS show “A Chef’s Life.”
Howard is also a frequent guest on the popular cooking podcast “The Splendid Table” with Francis Lam. Look for Howard on this week’s Turkey Confidential episode, talking turkey with food stars Samin Nosrat, Evan Kleiman and Yossy Arefi. The episode airs on Thanksgiving Day if you’re in need of some last minute inspiration.
And for Howard Thanksgiving talk you can listen to right now, the “Radio Cherry Bombe” podcast looked to Howard for insights from pecan pie to the Thanksgiving sides. That episode premiered Monday.
It’s been a giant year for Vivian Howard, who created her latest fine dining menu at Theodosia restaurant in Duck. She then opened the latest evolution of Chef & the Farmer, a new casual concept called The Counter serving up the restaurant’s classic dishes.
She also launched her newest national PBS show, “Kitchen Curious,” in October.
