Luna Rotisserie & Taproom closing in Carrboro

Shawn Stokes and Anthony Kofler, owners of Luna Rotisserie & Taproom in Carrboro, recently shared that the restaurant will close.

“After many months of trying to find a path forward, we’ve made the very difficult decision to close Luna Rotisserie & Taproom,” the owners wrote on social media.

Durham’s Luna Rotisserie and Empanadas will not be affected by the closure of the Carrboro restaurant, known for a South American-influenced menu of empanadas, Peruvian-style chicken and grain bowls.

Luna’s last day will be Sunday, March 8. Raleigh’s Longleaf Swine BBQ will take its place.

The Station, a burger joint that served Raleigh diners for more than a decade, is closing Saturday, March 8.

“For more than a decade, The Station has been a place for first dates, post-game burgers, family dinners, late night laughs, and familiar faces at the bar,” the owners said in an Instagram post. “This neighborhood has shaped us just as much as we’ve served it, and we are deeply grateful for every single guest who has walked through our doors.”

Niall Hanley, owner of The Hibernian Group, which is behind the restaurant, said The Station will be renovated to make way for a new concept.

Details about the new concept have not been shared, but Hanley said the restaurant will be designed with the Oakwood neighborhood in mind.
