Chick-fil-A locations in the greater Triangle are offering educators one free meal on Tuesday, May 5.

“Teachers are an indelible part of our community,” said Rob Reasoner, local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Wake Forest and Chick-fil-A Heritage Village. “This offer is a meaningful opportunity for us to give back in a small way and say thank you for the lasting impact they make in our schools every single day.”

This meal deal comes days after thousands of teachers across North Carolina mobilized a protest in downtown Raleigh to demand higher pay and more school funding, The News & Observer reported.
