Local potters created our dishes for photo shoots
The holiday treats throughout this section are displayed on dishes from local makers. We are lucky to find ourselves in a community rich in potters, and we worked with three locals for our Thanksgiving, baking and Christmas food spreads.
▪ Haand creates ceramic dishes and home pieces for everyday use in Eli Whitney, a community in Alamance County. They describe their aesthetic as “farmhouse futuristic.” To purchase, visit Light Art + Design, Palette & Parlor or Southern Season, all in Chapel Hill, or shop online, haand.us
▪ Anna Eaves is the owner, designer and ceramicist behind Arrow + Sage, her brand and home studio based in Raleigh. Each piece is created by hand, utilizing high quality clays and glazes. No two pieces are alike. Local folks can enter the code “local” at checkout online at arrowsage.com to avoid shipping charges and Eaves will arrange a time for pickup.
▪ Ali Gibbons of Line Line Co. makes small batch ceramics in her Raleigh home. Gibbons works in porcelain and stoneware high fired in a gas kiln. Each item is designed to be simple and useful. See Gibbon’s pieces at Edge of Urge in Raleigh or online at llco.co or etsy.com/shop/aligibbons.
