More than 40 restaurants will be participating in the annual Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week from Aug. 15-21.

It’s a great way to try that new restaurant you haven’t been to yet. Here’s how it works:

▪ Some restaurants will offer three-course prix fixe dinners for either $20 or $30. Reservations are recommended.

▪ Some restaurants will offer $5 to $10 lunch specials.

▪ A new offering this year, Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours will conduct afternoon and evening tours all week. The tours include tastings at two restaurants and dessert at a third spot. Alcoholic beverage pairings are included on the dinner tours. The afternoon tours cost $50 with possible visits to Centro, Gravy, Joule, Garland and Treat. Evening tours cost $65 with possible visits to Centro, Gravy, Garland, Gallo Pelon, Beasley’s, Bittersweet, lucettegrace and The Green Light.
