Favorite Things: Child’s cane-bottom chair is perfect for toddlers
This cane-bottom handmade child’s chair was made for my mother, who was born in 1915 in South Carolina. As a baby, she used it as a “walker” to push around the floor learning to walk. The front posts show the wear from this use.
Our children sat in it to watch TV, and we are using it for our grandchildren in the same way. I keep it in the family room, where it can be seen and used.
