This beautiful pair of quails cross-stitched by my grandmother was in my childhood home and now hangs in mine. At Christmas last year, my niece, who was born after her great-grandmother died in 1959, was visiting from out of town. She saw the cross-stitch for the first time and said she has the complementing match to my picture, which her mother gave to her. Neither of us knew the pair existed.
