Favorite Things: World War II-era Easter card
When it’s Easter, along with other holiday decorations, I always display this Easter card. It was sent to me by my “favorite” uncle from Fort Harrison, Ind., on March 29, 1943, when he was being called to duty for World War II. This makes the card 72 years old, and it’s starting to show its age. The card is losing some of the fuzziness that made up the bunny’s fur. All of these things have made it very special to me over all these years.
