Garden Storytime: Surprises in the Garden

HOME - The Furniture Society Members Exhibit
HOME, a juried exhibition of work by Furniture Society members from across the United States and Canada, provides a glimpse of the various approaches of contemporary makers. From Stoel Burrowes’ Cats Cradle, which creatively reimagines traditional chair caning with brightly colored bungee cords to the bone-like concentricity of Walter Stevens’ Spirit Table 1 and the winking self-reflexivity of Joshua Torbick’s Prosthetic Stool, the included artists, designers and makers demonstrate the versatility, quality, and, above all, possibilities of furniture today. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through July 3. Annual Daylily Show and Sale

Kid’s Nutrition Workshop
This workshop will teach children how to eat healthy and make smart choices when it comes to food. It is free and designed to teach children who live in and around Raleigh about organic farm life, vegetables and where food comes from.
