Favorite Things: A mother’s sewing machine
Transported from Pennsylvania, my mother’s Singer sewing machine from the 1940s arrived in North Carolina. Located in the foyer, it brings memories of mother’s and my struggles to learn the art of sewing. The cut glass vase is also from my parent’s home. Both are a sentimental reminder of my mother and my childhood.
