Learn how to build a bug bungalow

Raleigh gardening expert Helen Yoest is hosting a workshop Nov. 21 on how to build your own beneficial bug bungalow.

The workshop from 10 a.m.-noon includes a tour of Yoest’s garden and a lecture on how to create a wildlife habitat. Yoest will have premade boxes, so all the students need to do is add their natural items, which will also be provided.

The class is held at Yoest’s home: 3412 Yelverton Circle, Raleigh. It costs $50.

To register, go to nando.com/bugbungalowclass.

Get your event listed in the Home & Garden calendar

I’m sharing directions on how to get your event listed in the weekly Home & Garden calendar shown below. We’re looking for gardening and wildlife walks, tours and talks, and any classes, shopping events and pop-up markets for items that will decorate the home.

▪ Go to events.triangle.com, click on Add Event, enter the details and dates. This will not work on a phone or tablet; you must use your computer.

▪ This is key: Choose “Gardening” as the genre. We will search using that term and export those entries into our publishing system for this calendar.

▪ The event has to be entered online 10 days before publication.

▪ Any questions? Contact Andrea Weigl by phone or email shown below.
