DIY Gift Wrap & Cards with Handmade Stamps

Wine & Wreaths

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and other beverages as you make a wreath to decorate your home for the holidays. Hands-on instruction will be provided and all participants will learn to make and will create a wreath of their own to take home. All materials needed for this workshop will be provided including a vast assortment of greens for your wreath, however, participants are encouraged to bring items for their wreaths or to share. Holiday Creations from the Garden

The gardens are full of inspiration and materials to make holiday crafts. Join us for a morning of fun crafts using materials from the garden.Participants will take home their creations to decorate their homes. Poinsettia Open House

Celebrate the flowering symbol of the holidays and the heritage of Fairview Garden Center at this event where over 60,000 square feet of greenhouses brim with poinsettias of all sizes, shapes and colors. Colonial Christmas Open House

The Joel Lane Museum House, The Birthplace of North Carolina’s Capital, will sponsor its annual Colonial Christmas Open House celebration. Admission is free, and donations are requested. Information about the house and grounds will be offered by costumed docents; re-enactors will demonstrate scenes of 18th-century life; the sounds of live music will fill the air; and other interpreters will entertain children using colonial games and crafts through the Hands-on History program.11 a.m. Dec. 5. You will have a chance to see more than 100 different cultivars of poinsettias. Stop by to see and take photographs in front of the famous 9-foot-tall poinsettia tree.
