A dog that got a face full of porcupine quills is home and recovering.

The Danbury, N.H. Police Department said it found the dog and was trying to reunite it with its owner on June 10. The dog ran away from its owners, found a porcupine, and then ran into a Good Samaritan who took the dog to the vet to be treated.

Now with help from the police department’s social media posts, the dog has been reunited with its owner and is recovering at home.
