In January, the ASPCA rescued about 700 animals from inhumane conditions at an unlicensed Hoke County animal shelter. Many of the animals were malnourished, sick and injured. In March, Agatha and five of her feline friends were taken in by SAFE Haven for Cats, a nonprofit no-kill cat rescue in Raleigh.

At SAFE Haven, Agatha has hit the cat lottery and her life is turning around. She has been treated for a hyperthyroid condition, has had her teeth cleaned and her dilute torti coat is now shiny and beautiful.

She is a very sweet kitty who loves people and loves to be petted. She also loves to play with her “Da Bird” wand toy. If you go out to meet her, her guardians at SAFE Haven are sure you’ll fall in love right away.
