Royal Caribbean adds new cruise brunch option
For many cruise vacationers, leisurely days at sea are a perfect time to savor an unhurried morning with brunch. Some cruise lines offer brunch in main dining rooms on sea days, while others offer paid brunch options in specialty restaurants.
Royal Caribbean hasn't been as quick to embrace the brunch trend as other cruise lines, but it may be upping its brunch game with a new offering that's popping up at a popular specialty dining restaurant across the fleet.
Until recently, Royal Caribbean only offered a noteworthy brunch option at The Mason Jar, a southern-style specialty restaurant featured on a few ships. But now, a paid brunch option is coming to more ships to elevate sea day dining on Royal Caribbean cruises.

Royal Caribbean introduces brunch menu at Chops Grille
Royal Caribbean recently began rolling out a new brunch offering at specialty steakhouse Chops Grille, as reported by Royal Caribbean Blog, a fan blog not affiliated with the cruise line.
The menu was first spotted as an offering for an upcoming sailing on the cruise line's newest ship, Star of the Seas, but passengers have since reported in the Royal Caribbean Dining Facebook group that the new Chops Grille brunch is appearing as an option to book for upcoming cruises on other ships.

The new brunch menu doesn't entirely replace the lunch offering at Chops Grille, but adds a new option available on the last sea day of a cruise. Lunch continues to be offered at Chops Grille on other sea days in addition to the specialty restaurant's nightly dinner experience.
As an upscale, specialty dining experience, brunch at Chops Grille comes with an additional charge, and one that's higher than the typical lunch price. It's currently priced at $60 per adult and $40 per child, but may be available to book a discounted rate pre-cruise. A $30 surcharge applies for passengers with a dining package or Star Class benefits.
For comparison, lunch at Chops Grille is priced at $30 per adult, but you can usually book it at a discounted price pre-cruise.
