Marion Victor "Vic" Rains, Jr.
Marion Victor “Vic” Rains, Jr., 72, of 201 N. Pearl St., died Monday, June 29th.
He was born April 1, 1943 and was the son of the late Marion Victor Rains, Sr. and Tiny Lynch Rains. Mr. Rains was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church. He was very active in the State Employees Association of North Carolina. He was a member of the North Carolina State Wolfpack Club. Mr. Rains was an Eagle Scout.
The Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 am, Thursday July 2nd at the Princeton United Methodist Church with the Reverend Norma Roberts and Reverend Tony Calhoun officiating.
Burial will follow at the Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Wicker Rains; son, Marion Victor”Sonny” Rains III and wife Sybil Annette ”Annie” of Jacksonville; brother, Tim Rains and wife Christy of Harkers Island; sisters, Pat Rains Boyette and husband Billy of Wilson, and Mickie Rains Braswell and husband Gene of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Ralph Wilder Rains, Marion David “Doc” Rains, and Lydia Hope Rains.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 1st at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, NC.
