Davie County couple faces drug charges after months-long investigation by authorities
A Davie County man and woman faces drug-offense charges after a months-long investigation, authorities said.
Craig Freddrick Wiand, 46, of Advance and Rhiannon Danyelle Mccorkle of Mocksville are charged each with two counts of trafficking opium or heroin and three counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, according to their arrest warrants.
Wiand and Mccorkle also are charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, the warrants said.
Wiand and Mccorkle are accused of possessing up to 1½ ounces of an opioid, maintaining houses on Lois Lane and Barney Road to keep and sell hydrocodone and methamphetamine.
Wiand and Mccorkle also are accused of possessing hydrocodone and meth, the warrants said.
Investigators targeted suspects on the 100 block of Barney Road in Advance and the 200 block of Lois Lane in Mocksville, the sheriff's office said.
Investigators then linked Wiand and McCorkle to the drug offenses, the sheriff's office said. The agency didn't describe the relationship between Wiand and McCorkle.
Wiand is being held in the Davie County Jail with no bond allowed, the sheriff's office said. Mccorkle is in jail with her bond set at $87,500.
Wiand and Mccorkle are scheduled to appear on May 14 in Davie District Court.
