Report: One shot in Greensboro neighborhood; roads closed during investigation

One person was shot in the Random Woods neighborhood in Greensboro early Monday morning, prompting police to close several roads nearby, according to EMS personnel.

The shooting happened at about 3:15 a.m., EMS personnel said.

The neighborhood is near West Gate City Boulevard and Fairfax Road. Police had not named the injured person or provided information about a suspect or a motive in the crime as of 10:15 a.m. on Monday.

Police closed the intersections of Bernau Avenue and Baker Avenue, as well as Baker Avenue at Romaine Street, according to EMS personnel.
