Woman dies after multi-vehicle crash in Greensboro.
A woman died Friday after a multi-vehicle collision at Freeman Mill Road and Coliseum Boulevard in Greensboro, authorities said.
Greensboro police went to the scene at 4:05 p.m. Friday, police said.
Bryson Lomont Spruill, 25, of Winston-Salem was driving a Chevrolet Camaro north on Freeman Mill Road, and Brittany Dawn Jordan, 30, the driver of a Subaru Forester, was stopped on Freeman Mill Road at its intersection of Coliseum Boulevard for the traffic signal, police said.
Spruill's vehicle then crashed into the rear of Jordan's vehicle, police said. Jordan's vehicle was pushed forward, resulting in collisions involving two other vehicles stopped ahead.
Jordan died at the scene, police said. Her passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Jordan's next of kin was notified of her death, police said.
Spruill was cited with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to reduce speed, police said.
Spruill is scheduled to appear on July 15 in Guilford District Court.
