CloudBearing acquired by German company
Raleigh-based information technology services company CloudBearing has been acquired by a German company for an undisclosed sum.
The acquiring company, Comparex, will maintain CloudBearing’s Raleigh office, where it has more than 20 employees.
CloudBearing, which helps organizations shift to cloud computing, also has a half-dozen offices nationwide.
CloudBearing CEO Nick Vossburg – who co-founded the business in 2011 and moved it from Washington, D.C., to downtown Raleigh last year – will be director of cloud services for Comparex.
“We have been in front of the cloud marketplace from the beginning and by joining forces with Comparex we can leverage our innovative approach,” Vossburg said in a prepared statement.
Emily Smith, a spokeswoman for CloudBearing, said in an email that the business expects to add to its Raleigh staff but couldn’t provide further details.
Comparex has more than 2,000 employees and generated $2 billion in revenue in its most recent fiscal year.
