At its flagship store in Apex, the outdoor outfitter carries apparel and accessories from Patagonia, The North Face, Mountain Hardwear, Columbia, Leatherman, Sanuk, Smart Wool and other brands. It also sells footwear, camping gear, longboards, skateboards, stand-up paddle boards, jackets, backpacks, tents and sleeping bags.
Because of space constraints, the Raleigh store will focus on apparel, including Apex Outfitter’s new private label, Summit and Sea, a nod to North Carolina being home to both mountains and beaches). Owners Kyle and Megan Denis expect to open the Raleigh store in early September.
The Apex store, known as Apex Outfitter and Board Co., is at 225 N. Salem St.
In the former DECO Home space, Petale is open at 15 W. Hargett St.
The shop sells flowers, gifts and European chocolates.
“We decorate for weddings, events, and we have weekly and monthly subscriptions,” said owner Bearta Alchacar.
