A new Ace Hardware store will open in Cary on Friday.
The new store, in Hemlock Plaza on Kildaire Farm Road, is owned and operated by Westlake Hardware, the largest Ace Hardware operator in the U.S., with 122 hardware stores across 10 states. It’s the same group that purchased Seaboard Ace Hardware off Peace Street in Raleigh last year. Westlake acquired Ace Hardware stores at North Ridge Shopping Center and at Falls River Shopping Center in Raleigh in 2016.
This will be Cary’s only Ace Hardware.
The 13,300-square-foot Cary store will sell traditional hardware and paint products, plus lawn and garden supplies, patio furniture and outdoor grilling brands such as Big Green Egg, Traeger and Weber, according to a news release.

Grand opening activities
The grand opening of Cary Ace Hardware takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and will include family friendly activities, demos from vendors and opportunities to win Ace Hardware gift cards. There will also be a pet adopt-a-thon and a charity cookout benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions.
The store is at 2976 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary.
