Biologics expands into new Cary office building

Biologics, a privately held oncology services company, announced Tuesday that it has expanded into a new 75,000-square-foot office building in Cary.

Biologics occupies all of the building, which was built by Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties in the real estate development trust’s Weston development.

Biologics has 350 employees, up from 68 in 2010. The company manages treatment for patients with cancer and other complex diseases.

The Weston building was the first of several expansion projects Biologics has planned. The company plans to retrofit its existing 32,00-square-foot facility at 120 Weston Oaks Court to accommodate growth in its specialty pharmacy business.

The company also has expects to expand into a third location in the Weston Parkway area, and to open a distribution center on the West Coast in the first quarter of next year.
