Pink Chicken? Don’t panic. It’s a new children’s store in North Hills’ Main District

After nearly 15 years in the fashion corporate world, New York-based entrepreneur Stacey Fraser took a break to focus on her two daughters.

During nap times, she’d sew garments made of a multitude of patterns, from bright block prints to ’60s florals. Her love for vintage textiles quickly came together to create easy and stylish pieces, paving the way for her to launch a children’s clothing brand in 2006.

Called Pink Chicken, the store is known for its bright block prints and animal-inspired patterns. It’s also a term of endearment, not a reference to raw meat, taking its cherubic clients from “park to playdate.”

Today, Fraser’s got six stores scattered around the country — including a new store opening in North Hill’s Main District this month.

“Pink Chicken is a chic and vibrant brand,” said Stacey Buescher, Kane Realty’s managing director of operations. “We know it will be well received.”

The store will be next door to Lilly Pulitzer and Kendra Scott.

Kane is revitalizing North Hills’ Main District with a $350 million expansion, including four new buildings around a public plaza. A Restoration Hardware “RH Gallery” will serve as the area’s retail anchor, with a rooftop restaurant and bar. It’s expected to be complete by March 2024.
