Planning to shop on Memorial Day? Triangle spots that are open or closed on Monday

For many retailers, Memorial Day means sales.

If you’re planning to flock to the mall this weekend, you’re in luck: Shopping centers in the Triangle are keeping normal opening hours for the holiday.

Other than the malls, many large retailers will stay open, but there are a few notable exceptions.

When are Triangle malls open?

Individual retailer hours may vary, so be sure to check the stores you’ll be visiting. Here are the general hours for the shopping centers on Memorial Day, May 27:

  • Crabtree in Raleigh is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Triangle Town Center in Raleigh is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • The Streets at Southpoint in Durham is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

At North Hills, Cary’s Fenton and Raleigh’s Village District, businesses may have different operating hours. Check the online directories for North Hills, Fenton and Village District (formerly known as Cameron Village) to see when each retailer is open.

Which large retailers are open on Memorial Day?

Stores closed on Memorial Day

Costco stores are closed on May 27.

The UPS Store won’t offer delivery or pickup services on May 27, and the company is only opening a limited number of locations. Check your local store to see if it will open Monday.

FedEx Express, Ground, Home Delivery, Ground Economy, Freight and Trade Networks won’t be available on May 27, according to the company’s website.

USPS will not offer regular delivery service except for Holiday Premium Priority Mail Express and Holiday Same Day Package Delivery.
