Videri Chocolate Factory owner to open new golf simulator club. Here’s when & where

opening soon coming soon sign new business

The owner of Raleigh’s Videri Chocolate Factory is opening a new business, and it has nothing to do with chocolate.

Golf Golf Golf, expected to open in November, is the latest venture from Videri founder Sam Ratto. It has been in the works for about a year and a half, Ratto told The News & Observer in a phone interview.

Ratto — a “passionate golfer,” according to the press release announcing the new initiative — moved to North Carolina in 2009 to study turf grass management at N.C. State University.

However, two years later, he founded the award-winning Videri Chocolate Factory, located on West Davie Street, just a short drive from the 1,500-square-foot space on New Bern Avenue where Golf Golf Golf will be.

“I wanted to create something that feels like a municipal golf course meets a skate shop and record store, with the added bonus of great drinks,” Ratto said in a press release.

Golf Golf Golf will have two golf simulator bays, a four-hole indoor putting green and tabletop and arcade games.

There will also be a bar where visitors can order beer, wine, spirits and nonalcoholic drinks to sip indoors or on the outdoor patio.

The business will allow Ratto to stay in the hospitality industry, provide a place for community and welcome people interested in golf, he said.

Monthly and founding memberships are available but not required to visit Golf Golf Golf. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.

“Golf Golf Golf is a place for everyone,” Ratto told The N&O. “If it’s your first time hitting a golf ball or your 1,000,000th time, our space is for you.”

Where and when will Golf Golf Golf open?

Golf Golf Golf is located at 605 New Bern Ave. It is expected to open in November.

Business hours will be 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.

ParTee Shack

Newest golf-centric business in the Triangle

Golf Golf Golf is the latest in a series of entertainment concepts centered around golf to come to the Triangle.

In June, State of Golf opened in Durham’s American Tobacco Campus, The News & Observer previously reported. More than double the size of Golf Golf Golf, State of Golf offers three pro-approved Full Swing Golf Simulators, enabled with dozens of games, along with craft beers, wine and cocktails.

Hibernian Hospitality Group established over the summer Hop Shots Putt Putt, an 18-hole miniature golf course, right behind Raleigh Beer Garden in the Glenwood South area.

And ParTee Shack, which operates two locations in Greensboro and Raleigh, is expanding to two more sites in Raleigh. ParTee Shack marketing director Dante Valor told The N&O in a July email that both locations are expected to open in early 2025.
