Another fitness studio has been announced for a new skyscraper in downtown Durham.

Revel, a locally owned cycling studio, will join the Pilates studio Solidcore at The Novus, a 27-story luxury residential tower with ground-floor retail space at 400 W. Main St.

These are the only two retail tenants to be announced for the mixed-use skyscraper so far, and both are expected to open in the first quarter of 2025.

Revel will occupy nearly 1,900 square feet.

The indoor cycling studio, which was founded by Durham residents Kyle Mumma and Mia Wise, who are married, offers rhythm-based rides that combine hills, sprints, endurance pushes and choreography.

Here’s what else is happening in the Triangle retail world.

Five companies with no dedicated brick-and-mortar presence in the Triangle are making their market debut at The Streets at Southpoint.

The stores — Vuori, Alo Yoga, Dick’s House of Sport, Aritzia and Gorjana — are part of the first phase of the mall’s “multi-year merchandising plan.”

Offering athleisure, jewelry, sporting goods and other apparel, the brands are among tenants that “every shopping center in the country right now is trying to add,” Steve Bolger, the vice president of leasing at mall owner and manager Brookfield Properties, previously told The News & Observer in a video interview.

Gorjana is expected to open in September 2025, but opening dates for the other stores have not yet been announced.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, the California-based food chain known for bowls and burritos, opened a new location in Cary.

The restaurant is unique because of its “Chipotlane,” a drive-thru lane that allows customers to pick up their to-go orders without leaving their vehicle.

The store at 3402 Kildaire Farm Road, which opened Tuesday, Dec. 17, was the chain’s third in Cary, and the town’s only Chipotle with a Chipotlane.
