A new Nordic spa is opening soon near downtown Raleigh.

This will be Sauna House’s second Triangle location, joining a spot in Durham, and its fourth in North Carolina, adding to the flagship Asheville location and Charlotte spa.

But Sauna House Raleigh, which will be at 324 Dupont Circle in the “West End” area of downtown, near Boylan Heights, is unique. It will have a warm pool in an open-air atrium, a first for the brand.

Sauna House is also launching massage services at its locations, and the Raleigh venue will offer massages from day one.

The new business is expected to open in January.

“Raleigh has seen two decades of steady growth while holding onto a special mix of innovation and groundedness,” Sauna House founder and CEO Andrew Lachlan said in a news release. “It’s a city that moves fast and produces, but still values a balanced quality of life. This is an incredible facility. The Raleigh team is building a space that feels both inspiring and welcoming. It’s a place where people will want to meet up with friends, recover, and recharge.”

James Grogan and Kady Brotherton are the owners of Sauna House Raleigh.

“It’s the kind of space that strengthens the community, and we’re proud to offer something unique to Raleigh that helps people take pause and reset,” Grogan said in the release.

Located in an 8,500-square-foot space, Sauna House Raleigh will include two cold pools, with water temperatures at 45-55 . It will also feature two large saunas, with temperatures at 185-190, in addition to the warm pool. The business is centered around contrast therapy, which includes alternating between very hot and very cold temperatures in an effort to improve blood flow and enjoy health benefits such as managing swelling.

Guests are asked to silence their phones and keep them stowed while visiting Sauna House.

With Sauna House Raleigh, the West End area will get another wellness-focused business. Heights Pilates and Onward Physical Therapy are just doors away from the forthcoming spa, and Homebody Yoga is open in the Platform apartment building off Cabarrus Street.

The spa will accept drop-in visits and also offers memberships and multi-visit packages. For a limited time, the spa is selling discounted memberships for the bathhouse (starting at $119 per month for a four-month membership) and massages (starting at $155 per month). The massage membership includes one massage per month and multiple visits to the bathhouse.

When the presale ends, the four-month bathhouse membership will cost $130 per month, and a monthly massage membership will start at $180.
