Stock Building Supply has completed its merger Atlanta-based building Building Materials Holding Corp., creating a company that recorded $2.6 billion in revenue last year.
The new company, BMC Stock Holdings, will continue operating under the BMC and Stock brands in its markets across the U.S. BMC Stock now serves 42 markets in 17 states, mostly in the South and West regions.
Privately-held BMC and Stock sell windows, doors and other housing materials. The companies core customers are both homebuilders and remodeling contractors.
The new company’s stock will trade on the Nasdaq exchange under Raleigh-based Stock’s ticker symbol “STCK.”

BMC Stock will have its headquarters in Atlanta, but keep its main operating center in Raleigh. The merger was first announced in June.
