Chase opens commercial banking office in Cary
Banking giant Chase recently opened a commercial banking office in Regency Park in Cary, giving it three commercial banking offices in the Carolinas.
Brent Gore, who heads the new office as market executive for Raleigh and eastern North Carolina, said the region’s “dynamic and vibrant business community” made it a natural fit for Chase as it expands its commercial banking business. The bank plans to open eight more commercial banking offices nationwide this year.
The Cary office offers a “full array of financial services and products” to businesses with revenue ranging from $20 million to $500 million, Gore said.
Today the Cary office has seven employees. Gore expects the staff to expand to a dozen within the next 18 months.
Chase also has commercial banking offices in Charlotte and Greenville, S.C.
“When we got into a market, we want to be great corporate partners to the marketplace and we want to support the community,” Gore said. As part of that effort, last month the company announced that it had given a $1.05 million grant to the UNC Center for Community Capital.
Chase, the consumer and commercial banking unit of JP Morgan Chase & Co., has 5,400 retail branches nationwide.
