Two more in Wake County test positive for coronavirus, bringing total to 17

Health officials said Tuesday evening that there are now 17 cases of COVID-19 in Wake County after two more residents tested positive.

The release offered no further details about the newest patients but said health officials will try to find those who may have come in close contact with them..

Officials said they are investigating 68 people in Wake County who have been exposed to the virus and have developed symptoms. Of those people, 45 test results are pending and 23 are in the process of being tested. Another 214 people in Wake County are being monitored.
