Two children at a Wake County youth summer camp test positive for coronavirus

Two siblings have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a Morrisville summer camp, according to the town.

The pair had been in a Cedar Fork Community Center day camp, which will be canceled for its last week. Refunds will be given for the canceled time.

“The safety of campers is our top priority, so we canceled camp this week to be as cautious as possible,” Superintendent Matt Leaver said. “After learning that we had received a positive test, we felt the best course of action would be to do whatever possible to protect the children and staff.”

The camp had been conducting daily temperature checks for children and staff, and face coverings were required. More than 30 children attended the camp and have been asked to isolate with their families.
