Police identify man fatally shot outside Durham convenience store

Police have identified the man fatally shot outside a Durham convenience store Tuesday as Colby Aaron Lucas, 29, of Durham.

Investigators have interviewed a person of interest in the case but have made no arrests, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said Wednesday.

Officers were alerted at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting in the parking lot of the Circle K, at 109 N.C. 54, near the Homestead Market shopping center, according to a police department news release. They found a man who had been shot. Emergency workers pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
