A mother and daughter from Georgia were being held on $3 million bail each Monday after Wake County sheriff’s deputies stopped their car and seized what the deputies said was 11 pounds of methamphetamine.

Records said that Rocio Jimenez, 35, and Cynthia Guzman, 18, were arrested at South Wilmington Street and Tryon Road and charged with meth trafficking and conspiracy early Sunday afternoon.

Arrest warrants list them as living at the same address in Carrollton, Georgia.

A sheriff’s office spokesman said they were mother and daughter.

According to the charges, Jimenez and Guzman were transporting 5.15 kilograms of meth, which is equivalent to about 11.3 pounds.

Each of the women faces two counts of trafficking and two counts of conspiracy to traffic in the drug.

A magistrate set their bails at $3 million each pending a first court appearance.
