Man shot into Raleigh house, pointed gun at people in domestic-violence incident, police say
Police charged a man early Tuesday with shooting inside a house where three people were and threatening each of them with a pistol after he broke into the house.
Bryan Christopher Shaffer, 29, was arrested at the single-family house in the 100 block of Idlewild Avenue about 12:30 a.m., according to Wake County records.
Police filed three charges of misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, one felony charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling, a felony charge of breaking and entering to terrorize and a misdemeanor charge of shooting a gun inside city limits.
One of the assault charges was labeled domestic violence, and Shaffer was held without bail, which is required by state law.
Police said Shaffer had a 9 mm pistol.
Shaffer was listed as living on Joe and Ruth Lee Drive.
