Garner police investigate homicide after 19-year-old found dead in car
A homicide investigation is underway after Garner police say a 19-year-old man was found dead Sunday night from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police say the man was discovered in a car close to Vandora Springs Road and 7th Avenue.
“A female was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” the police department said on Twitter.
Officers say the incident happened at about 7:50 p.m. and wasn’t random, according to Twitter posts.
Police ask people with information to call 919-772-8810, the department said.
