Orange County teacher suspended during child pornography investigation, authorities say
An Orange County elementary school teacher is being investigated for his connection to a possible child pornography case, law enforcement officials say.
Orange County Sheriff’s investigators say a search warrant was served on Stefan Winfried Anders earlier this week after receiving a tip in February from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as part of a child pornography investigation.
Multiple computers and other electronic devices were seized, but no charges have been filed, a Sheriff’s Office news release says.
“The next step in the investigation is for us to review the evidence seized pursuant to the search warrant,” said Investigator Ashley Woodlief. “At this time, we are unaware of any students at New Hope Elementary being the subject in any of the photographs.”
Anders has been suspended from his position at New Hope Elementary, the release says.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 919-245-2900.
