3 people dead in crash on NC 751 in Durham

Three people were killed in a traffic collision on N.C. 751 in Durham County Tuesday afternoon, the N.C. Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred about 4 p.m. on N.C. 751 near Kerley Road close to the Orange County line.

Both lanes of N.C. 751 were closed.

Three people were in a Cadillac traveling south when it collided with a black Mercedes traveling north, according to WRAL, which reported the driver of the Mercedes ran off the road, overcorrected and collided with the Cadillac.

The Highway Patrol had not released the names of the driver or those killed as of 7 p.m. Tuesday.
